Cameron Tatum doesn't want Charlotte fans to worry.

When he says that he's going to wait until the late signing period to make his commitment to Charlotte official, he doesn't want them to think he's wavering in his commitment.
"I haven't signed just yet," Tatum said. "I'm going to wait until the late period in April."
When posed with the question of "are you still committed to Charlotte," Tatum gets anxious.
"Oh yeah, yeah, yeah," Tatum said. "We want to get the academics down and taken care of right now, but there's absolutely no question about my commitment. I've talked it over with coach Lutz and coach Hill and we all have a full understanding about everything. They're committed to me and I'm committed to them, no question."
It's quite obvious why Niner fans would want to ensure that Tatum specifically is committed. Wednesday in his first preseason game, Tatum dropped 38 points, eight rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in a 15-point win.
"I did alright," Tatum said.
The news of Tatum's delay comes on the same day the Niners signed Carlos Williams, Charles Dewhurst and Sean Phaler. In addition to Tatum, the Niners are also awaiting papers from guard Ian Andersen, whom we weren't able to reach for comment.
Before we parted ways, Tatum wanted Charlotte fans to remember one thing.
"I'm definitely committed to Charlotte," he said. "There's no question."
