In-State Offensive Guard Commits to Charlotte

Charlotte has had a lot of success with out-of-state prospects for their 2017 recruiting class but on Wednesday, the staff learned that they landed a big-time talent from North Carolina.

Dmitri Emmanuel, a 6-foot-3, 290 pound offensive guard from Marvin Ridge High School in North Carolina announced that he has committed to Charlotte.

Emmanuel is the 13th commitment for Charlotte and their fourth commitment in the state of North Carolina, joining WR Jacory Reaves, WR Cameron Dollar, and WR Kajuan Jackson.

The offensive guard is the highest ranked player that Charlotte has nabbed, as he is a 3-star product and held offers from schools such as Boston College, North Carolina, Old Dominion, Syracuse, and Wake Forest.

So what made Charlotte the place for him?

"They were recruiting me the hardest out of all the schools, I felt like I could have a chance to play there early and the educations isnt' bad at all," Emmanuel told Niner Report.

Niner Report will have a full breakdown of Emmanuel's commitment later on, as he talks more about his decision.
