6'8 Milos Supica Commits to Charlotte

Charlotte is on the board again with yet another commitment for basketball, as 6'8 Milos Supica announced he would be committing to Charlotte.

Supica is a 6-foot-8, 235 pound prospect from Freedom Christian and was once a Quinnipiac commit and was granted his release. He recently visited Charlotte back in April and on Monday night, it was announced that Charlotte would be the winner in his recruitment.

Niner Report reached out to Coach Dan Pruesnner from Freedom Christian to learn more about how unique this big man is and what he can provide on the court.

"He is a very athletic stretch-four," Pruesnner said. "He is big enough to go inside. 6'8 235-pounds and can shoot it from the perimeter very well. You don't often get European kids that are skilled and athletic. He is definitely the exception."

Supica is the second commitment for Charlotte in the last week, joining Jailan Haslem who announced last week.

Quinnipiac Information:

When he signed his letter of intent back in December, here is what was said about the young man.

"Supica came over from his native Serbia to attend Freedom Christian Academy in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2015-16. As a junior last year, he was a first-team all-conference selection and honorable mention all-state honoree after averaging 15 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks per game, while leading his team to its first ever North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Final Four. He has gotten off to a strong senior year as well, recently putting up 31 points and 10 rebounds in a game at the Millbrook Winter Showcase. He was ranked among the top 25 recruits in North Carolina by the Charlotte Observer, and plays AAU basketball with Upward Stars in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

"Milos is a great combination of size, strength, and skill and he can have an immediate impact," per previous head coach Tom Moore. "He has good hands to go with a nice shooting touch and a willingness to play physical inside. He has been a major contributor to highly successful teams at Freedom Christian and we all feel he will fit in well here."
